Here’s how to recover the Xbox Gamertag on an Xbox 360 Console

There are two ways of recovering your username/tag. The first way is through your Xbox Live online account. If you haven’t ever linked it with an online account, fret not! There’s an offline way also to recover your gamertag.

Using Xbox 360 console (Online)

Press the Xbox button on your controller. This will open up the Xbox Guide Menu. Once you are on this screen, sign out of your profile. (Press the blue X button on your controller to sign out of any signed-in accounts)
